Converse's history

Founded in 1908, the American brand which started as a rubber boot manufacturer quickly evolved to become one of the first brands to be specialized in athletic footwear; first tennis and then basketball, Converse being for decades one of the most popular brands among professional basketball players to be worn on court. In 1936, Converse even designed the official shoe of team USA during the first basketball Olympics tournament, in Berlin. Other little known fact: Wilt Chamberlain played his 100-point game wearing Chuck Taylors All Stars!
