How should I lace Asics shoes?
When rushing out the door for a quick run before work or freerunning through an urban metropolis, Asics running shoes are quick and easy to lace for a secure and comfortable run. If you’re looking for a classic, hassle-free way to lace a pair of Asics, follow our instructions below:
- Evenly run your laces through the 1st set of eyelets closest to the toe.
- Lace the shoe in a parallel fashion by feeding each end of your laces through alternate rows.
- Feed the end of the lace through the last eyelet from inside-out and tie as normal.
If you find your kicks don’t fit the way an Asics shoe should, consider different lacing styles to match the shape of your foot. Try a runner’s loop for heel slippage or diagonal lacing for toe pain. They won’t only become comfier to wear but will also relieve pressure on your foot and help manage pronation.
Can Asics shoes be washed?
With a little maintenance and a touch of soap, cleaning your Asics will keep them in their best condition to help you run laps for days. To get the most out of your Asics running shoes, we recommend the following:
- Pressing gently with a soft-bristled dry brush, wick away grime and debris.
- Using a mild soapy detergent, lightly rub dull areas with a microfibre cloth
- With clean water and a new cloth, wipe excess suds off your Asics and let them air dry away from direct sunlight and heat.
Never clean your Asics shoes in the washing machine. Additionally, it’s best to avoid using the dryer, direct sunlight, or other external heat sources to dry your shoes, as they may cause them to warp or lose shape.
Do Asics running shoes stretch?
With a high-quality construction, you can shop Asics shoes with confidence. Whether you opt for a textile or leather upper, they will stretch slightly over time to match the size of your foot and never more. This is entirely normal for any shoe — it means it is responding to the shape and size of your feet.
